.Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine’s night ended a bit earlier than anticipated. Levine suffered a thigh contusion in Wednesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks and did not return.
Despite recovering from an ACL injury at the time of his acquisition in the Jimmy Butler trade, LaVine was still seen as a centerpiece in the package that also included point guard Kris Dunn and the no.7 overall pick in last year’s draft. Though he only made 24 appearances for the Bulls last year, the club did not hesitate to match the four-year, $78 million offer sheet LaVine signed with the Sacramento Kings.
Cosindering the major injury LaVine just came off, the Bulls will likely bring LaVine along slowly. This means Kris Dunn, Lauri Markkanen, Jabari Parker and likely new starting two guard Justin Holliday will have to pick up scoring slack in LaVine’s absence.
There is no word as of yet how long LaVine could be out.
